Intro to Art is a survey of beginning art theories and practices. Students explore the Elements of Art and Principles of Design. They take these practices to a higher level. One or more of the Elements and Principles of Art/Design serve as the basic for each assignment. As the year progresses, skill and knowledge from the past assignment are built on with each new assignment. Students learn to apply the Elements and Principles of Art/Design when learning the basic skills in drawing, painting, ceramics, paintmaking, design, worksheets/handouts, tests/quizzes, along with written assignments.
